Meet at the Nature Reserve, Stubb Rd, Hickling NR12 0BW at 10.30am.  Walkers have the option of a 2mile round walk visiting various bird hides, or 3 shorter walks from a quarter of a mile to one and a quarter miles.  Paths are generally flat and stoned, later sections are grassed. The Visitor Centre has toilets and sells light refreshments.  There is plenty of parking by the Visitor Centre; entry for non-members is £4.50 (£5 with gift aid).  No dogs allowed. Bring binoculars if you have them – you never know what you might see!  Booking for the walks and/or lunch (with menu choice) needed by 14th May. You can see the main menu and pizza menu on this link.

Thursday 5th June: Train trip to Sheringham with lunch at The Lobster pub.
Take the train for a trip to the seaside!  Meet at Wroxham station (Platform 2) to catch the train to Sheringham: trains leave Wroxham at 10.00 and 10.58 arriving at Sheringham at 10.43 and 11.40 respectively*.  Parking at Wroxham is at the station or in the medium stay carpark in Station Road.  Sheringham station and car park is at the top of the main street with easy access to shops, museum and beach.  Enjoy free time exploring the town, have a coffee, take a paddle, stroll along the shore, then meet up at ‘The Lobster Inn’ for lunch at 12.30pm. After lunch, return trains are 14.46 or 15.45 arriving Wroxham at 15.22 and 16.25 respectively*. You will need to buy your own train tickets.  Off-peak Return or Anytime Return tickets cost approximately £9pp – less if you have a railcard; there is no ticket office at Wroxham but tickets can be bought in advance online or on the day on the train. You may, of course, wish to drive to Sheringham and just join up for lunch.
