Monday 1st June: Take a
drive to Gt Yarmouth and visit Merrivale
Model Village, South Beach Parade NR30 3JG.
Meet at 11.00am
There is paid street parking
on South Beach Parade and in St Nicholas’
carpark opposite (card payments).
Merrivale Model Village also has a small Crazy
Golf area and a tea room offering teas, snacks
and lunches. I have been unable to reserve
tables at the Tea Room so this is a DIY
outing! All-day tickets cost £9pp.
Saturday 27th June: Summer BBQ in
Graham and Sue’s garden:
Aways a favourite but now in a
new venue! Thank you to Graham and Sue
for opening up their new home and garden at
Beech Lodge, Three Acre Close, Hoveton, NR12
8QL (Three Acre Close is off Horning
Road West, just past the Catholic Church;
Beech Lodge is the first house on the right).
Arrive from 12.30pm with your own chairs,
drinks and food to cook. Come and enjoy a
relaxed afternoon with lots of friends and in
lovely surroundings. As always friends and
family welcome.
Friday 10th July: Visit to
Norwich Castle then lunch.
Meet at Norwich Castle at
10am. Spend the morning exploring the
Castle which now has disabled access to all
areas. Tickets cost £15.30 if bought a
day in advance online, £17 on the day, and
cover entry to all areas of the Castle and
Museum, including the Gallery and special
exhibitions – these include Exhibition of
Contemporary Art and ‘Chain of Flowers’ by
Miranda Boulton. Re-convene for lunch at
12.30pm at Cote Brasserie, 29 Exchange St,
Norwich. Book for lunch by 30th June.
Friday 24th July:
Ploughman’s Lunch in the Garden and
Mini-Quiz, Ludham:
Thank you to Maggie and Peter
who have invited us to a Ploughmans Lunch in
their garden at The Grange, Catfield Rd,
Ludham NR29 5QT at 11.30am. A lunch of
ham, cheese, salad and pickles with tea,
coffee, fruit punch and cider, will be
available from 12.30pm. Please bring a
‘finger food’ style dessert to share, also
your own chairs, cutlery and any preferred
drinks. Maggie and Peter’s special
request – please bring a photo of your wedding
to display…..just for interest and enjoyment!
They are also preparing a short quiz for us,
with answers found in and around the house and
grounds – a fun way of having a wander and
exploring both! Cars can be parked in the
grounds however please car-share where
possible; there is also street parking within
a short walk. Dogs are welcome but as
there is easy access to the road, they should
be kept close to hand. If it rains – we will
meet indoors, if it’s very sunny – the garden
has plenty of shade! To aid catering,
please book by 16th July.

Thursday 24th September: How Hill Picnic
Tuesday 6th October: 10pin bowling at Strikers
and Lunch at the King’s Head Coltishall.
Tuesday 20th October: AGM followed by Bring your
own Supper and the Stan Coles Trophy Quiz.

Friday 20th November: End of Season Supper. The
