Wednesday 30th April: Enjoy a
gentle walk of about 2 miles in and around
Coltishall starting at the Kings Head at
10.30am.
Walking will be on small roads
and green paths. Lunch has been booked
for 12.30pm at The Kings Head. Booking
for the walk and/or lunch, with menu choice,
needed by 23rd April. Follow this

Wednesday
21st May: A choice of walks around Hickling
Broad Nature Reserve followed by Lunch at the
Pleasure Boat Inn, Hickling at 12.30.
Meet at the Nature Reserve,
Stubb Rd, Hickling NR12 0BW at 10.30am.
Walkers have the option of a 2mile round walk
visiting various bird hides, or 3 shorter
walks from a quarter of a mile to one and a
quarter miles. Paths are generally flat
and stoned, later sections are grassed. The
Visitor Centre has toilets and sells light
refreshments. There is plenty of parking
by the Visitor Centre; entry for non-members
is £4.50 (£5 with gift aid). No dogs
allowed. Bring binoculars if you have them –
you never know what you might see!

Thursday
5th June: Train trip to Sheringham with lunch
at The Lobster pub.
Take the train for a trip to
the seaside! Meet at Wroxham station
(Platform 2) to catch the train to Sheringham:
trains leave Wroxham at 10.00 and 10.58
arriving at Sheringham at 10.43 and 11.40
respectively*. Parking at Wroxham is at
the station or in the medium stay carpark in
Station Road. Sheringham station and car
park is at the top of the main street with
easy access to shops, museum and beach.
Enjoy free time exploring the town, have a
coffee, take a paddle, stroll along the shore,
then meet up at ‘The Lobster Inn’ for lunch at
12.30pm. After lunch, return trains are 14.46
or 15.45 arriving Wroxham at 15.22 and 16.25
respectively*. You will need to buy your own
train tickets. Off-peak Return or
Anytime Return tickets cost approximately £9pp
– less if you have a railcard; there is no
ticket office at Wroxham but tickets can be
bought in advance online or on the day on the
train. You may, of course, wish to drive to
Sheringham and just join up for lunch.
Please book for lunch by 28th May and let me
know if you will be travelling by train or
car, and which train from Wroxham you aim to
catch.
*Train times may change and will be checked
nearer the time.

21st June: Summer BBQ in the Garden at Ludham:
Bring your own food to cook,
drinks, chairs and sunhats! Arrive from
12.30pm, the BBQ will be ready for cooking by
1pm.

Wednesday 22nd October: AGM followed by
Supper and the Stan Coles Trophy Quiz
Wednesday 19th November: End of Season
Supper. The Swan, Horning.
Wednesday 3rd December: Winter Walk, See
the Seals and Lunch at the Fisherman’s Return,
Winterton.

Please note that we have had to change the date of
the visit to the Hickling Nature Reserve and the
Pleasure Boat Inn. This has now moved to the 21st
