The Womack Herons gather round the barbecue at Salhouse
We stayed overnight and then cruised up to Coltishall.

If you have made a booking but then you are unable to attend the event, please let the organiser know as soon as possible. Otherwise, we may have to pay for the meal.
You don't have to own a boat to be a member of the Womack Herons. However, many of our meetings take place at riverside locations and some people travel there by boat.

In some cases, it is necessary to contact the meeting
organiser to let them know you are coming or to choose menus
or some other option. You will find details of how to do
this with each event. Please note that some dates and venues
may change. We will send an e-mail to all members if this
happens. If you change your e-mail, please make sure that
the organisers know or you may miss out.
Visitors and guests are always welcome at Herons Meetings.

Tuesday 5th March: Guided tour of Norwich
Cathedral. Meet at the main entrance reception desk at
10.15am ready to start the tour at 10.30am.Cost £5pp payable
on the day. The tour lasts 1-1½hrs. Following
the tour, lunch has been booked for 1pm at Cote Brasserie,
Exchange St. Cost: £15.95 for 2 courses, £18.95 for 3
courses. Book for tour and/or lunch by 26th February.

Thursday 21st March: ‘Launching Supper’ at the Hotel Wroxham at 7pm. Book with menu choices by 14th March (menu to come) (Please note change of venue)
Tuesday 16th April: Cruise or drive to the Ferry Inn, Stokesby, for lunch at 1pm. Book by April 9th.
Tuesday 30th April: Spring Walk and lunch in Happisburgh. Meet at the Smallsticks Café, Cart Gap Road, Happisburgh, NR12 0QL at 10.45am ready to start the walk at 11am. There is parking behind and opposite the café. The walk is about 2 miles on country roads and footpaths. Lunch is booked at the café for 12.30pm. Diners can take their own alcohol but there is a per person corkage charge of £2. Book for the walk and/or lunch with menu choices to firstname.lastname@example.org by April 14th. Friday 10th May: Cruise or drive to Upton for a 12.30pm fish & chip lunch. Please book with menu choice by Friday 3rd May. Click here for menu
Thursday 23rd May: Walk in Sheringham Park and Afternoon Tea: Meet at the Dales Hotel, Sheringham, at 1.45pm ready to start the walk at 2pm. Come and enjoy the spectacular Rhododendrons! Afterwards, afternoon tea with sandwiches, cake, scones and cream has been booked at the hotel for 4pm. Booking for the walk and/or tea required by 16th May.
Saturday 8th June. Summer barbecue at Crusoes. Note change of date.
Tuesday 18th June: Visit to South Walsham and the Fairhaven Garden Trust for lunch and a look at the gardens. Note change of date.
Tuesday 16th July. Trip on the North Norfolk Railway (postponed from last year)
Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th July. Overnight stay at Salhouse Broad with picnic lunch on Thursday and lunch at the Fur and Feather on Friday. Note change of date.
Wednesday 7th August: How Hill Picnic
Saturday 31st August: Tea/Coffee and scones in Horning. Cruise or drive to Horning for tea/coffee and scones in the garden at Tricia's house, served from 2.30pm. Booking not required but it would help catering to know numbers. Contact Tricia with numbers and for directions if needed.
Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th September: Overnight stay at Gays Staithe with barbecue lunch and then lunch at the White Horse, Neatishead on Sunday.
Friday 27th September: Cruise or drive to St Benet’s Abbey for a guided tour starting at 11am. This is St Benet’s 1000 year anniversary – come and discover more of its history, stories and secrets! After the tour stay and enjoy a picnic by the river – bring your own picnic. Booking is not essential but it would be helpful to know numbers for the tour. Please let Tricia know by Monday 23rd Sept.

Tuesday 29th October: AGM, supper and Stan Coles Trophy Quiz. Church Rooms
Saturday 9th November: Lunch at The Maltsters, Ranworth.
Thursday 28th November: Laying Up Supper, Acle Bridge Inn
Tuesday 10th December: Winter Walk and silly hats. Details to follow.
