How to cancel


If you have made a booking but then you are unable to attend the event, please let the organiser know as soon as possible. Otherwise, we may have to pay for the meal.

 

Lifts to Boating Meetings


You don't have to own a boat to be a member of the Womack Herons. However, many of our meetings take place at riverside locations and some people travel there by boat.

If you would like a lift on one of the boats going to a meeting, you would be most welcome. To arrange this just send an e-mail to the following address:

MEETINGS

Here are the details of future meetings. Members are welcome at all meetings.

In some cases, it is necessary to contact the meeting organiser to let them know you are coming or to choose menus or some other option. You will find details of how to do this with each event. Please note that some dates and venues may change. We will send an e-mail to all members if this happens. If you change your e-mail, please make sure that the organisers know or you may miss out.
Visitors and guests are always welcome at Herons Meetings.

Tuesday December 7th: A Winter walk around Coltishall followed by lunch at the Kings Head.  The route is being planned with two options a 1 mile stroll for those who dont wish to walk far and a 3 mile walk for the more energetic of us!  Meet at the Kings Head ready to begin the walks at 11am the pub will be open for coffee etc so those not walking, or on the shorter walk, will have somewhere warm and comfortable to sit.  Lunch is booked for 1pm booking, with menu choices, is required by Wednesday December 1st.

Meetings 2022

 

Wednesday 19th January:  Meet at JRs (previously Strikers), Tungate, North Walsham, NR28 0JQ, at 10.45am ready to start bowling at 11am.  Cost 6.50/person payable on the day.  If you dont wish to bowl just come along to watch the fun!  Lunch has been booked at 1pm at the Skeyton Goat, Long Road, Skeyton, NR10 5DH.  Booking for bowling and/or lunch (with menu choices) required by Tuesday January 12th.  Menu to come.

Tuesday 15th February: Fish and Chip Supper at Ludham Church Rooms at 7pm, followed by an interactive presentation by Nigel.  Fish & Chips 8.50pp. Please bring your own plates, cutlery and condiments; tea and coffee will be provided. Your food order is needed by 7th February. If you do not wish to order fish & chips, please bring your own supper.

Wednesday 9th March: The Spring Walk. Details to follow:


Thursday 24th March: The Spring Supper at the King's Arms, Fleggburgh.


Friday 22nd April: History Walk in Norwich with Mike Flett followed by lunch at The Cte Brasserie Norwich.


Wednesday May 11th: Picnic at Salhouse Broad. Come by boat or Car.


Thursday May 12th: Lunch at the Fur and Feather, Woodbastwick.


Wednesday 25th May: Visit to East Ruston Old Vicarage Gardens.


Saturday 11th June: Summer Barbecue at Crusoes


Wednesday 6th July: Walk and Afternoon Tea at The Sea Marge


Tuesday 19th July: Walk and Lunch at the Ferry Inn Stokesby.


Tuesday 2nd August: Visit to the Plantation Gardens, Norwich followed by lunch at Ask.


Wednesday 24th August: Cream Tea Event in Horning.


Tuesday 6th September: Picnic at How Hill.


Friday 23rd September: Fish and Chips at the White Horse, Upton.


Tuesday 18th October: AGM followed by Supper and the Stan Coles Trophy Quiz.


Thursday 17th November: End of Season Supper at the King's Head, Coltishall.


Tuesday 6th December: Winter Walk and Lunch. Details to follow.
